We’ve been writing…

the hollow voices resonate, sending trains of thought racing through my head / steel wheels screech on rusted rails / cars fall into crashing waves
..and i’m screaming out, under the surface of a tranquil sea / through the cold shoulders and brush offs / the hospital beds and endless oceans / the last sip and the breaking point
the hollow echo of footsteps, the soundtrack to a grim farewell / a haunting choral indication that this has gone too far
it all turns to dust / faces to shadows / voices to echoes / shapes turn to darkness / memories fade / i’m left alone / asking myself who i am
pull up the anchor, the dead weight holding you down / staring off the bow gets restless / the open ocean beckons / it’s calling out for me / vacillator / turncoat / deceiver / thief / the open ocean beckons, another cold grey chance / offering a hand up / but i slip through the cracks
writhe and wallow in self-pity / scream your lungs out until your heartstrings come with them / breathe and fill your aching chest / drink to forget and to heal your open wounds
You remember when you first thought about the magnitude of it all? the image burned in your memory, revisited time and time again / but as the days pass, and it drifts slowly into irrelevance, the realization dawns, you can’t lose what you never had

Since yesterday was our CD release show, I just want to say thank you to

everyone who came out

everyone who waited around for hours for us to play (seriously, sorry about that)

everyone who sang along

everyone who bought a CD and helped us lose less money making music and continue making music

and most importantly, everyone who listened, and provided us with a platform to express ourselves

September marks a time when the four of us will be living in four different cities, so there may be periods of inactivity, but we still love each other and love making music. We will be playing shows, they may be in different cities, please come out and support us, we appreciate all of you.
